Bad Features vs. Pro Features
The selection of a Certified Aquascape Contractor like Texas Ponds and Water Features insures that you will get a beautiful top-quality natural-looking and functioning water feature installed in your landscape.  We've undergone extensive instruction, both in the classroom and hands-on in the field.  We also undergo peer revue boards and customer service reviews to make sure that we're delivering a consistantly high level of quality and service.  Anyone can stack rocks and pump water to the top of the stack and it will 'fall', but that doesn't mean it looks like a natural waterfall.  Most people want something that looks natural in their landscape when they opt for a waterfall rather than some other type of water feature.  That's why we study natural waterfalls, waterways and water features as often as possible.  We try to re-create the structures we see in nature in our customers' yards.  We have a love and appreciation for nature and a genuine passion for what we do and it shows in our work.  You can go with any old landscaper or pool builder or guy on the street who tells you he can build a water feature, but you're taking your chances.  These are but a few examples that illustrate that point.  Roll your mouse over the first three to see how we were able to help out.

We're not sure exactly what sort of look they were trying to achieve here, but we can't think that this was it.  It's not wise to hire stone masons or landscapers it build your water feature.  They're probably great at what they do, but water features are our specialty and our passion.
Someday when they figure out how to make energy from algae, this pond will be worth a fortune.  But right now, it's not worth the fortune that the homeowners were charged by the so-called 'professionals' that built this underfiltered monstrosity on their property.
